The ALB launched and proceeded towards the casualty.
After questioning, the lone sailor assured the crew that everything else on board was well, and he was happy to accepted to tow to Weymouth.
The ALB crew rigged a stern tow using the single bridle.
Once rig the tow and bridle were passed to the casualty, and the ALB commenced the tow back to port.
At the harbour entrance the casualty was brought alongside the ALB’s port side and brought up the harbour to a vacant berth, where Coastguards and harbour staff awaited to assist
Once the casualty was safely moored, the ALB was released to return to station, refuelled and made ready for service.
