ALB launched to a Mayday from a local fishing vessel who had found the skipper of another local fishing vessel unconscious, 2nm east of Portland Bill. Upon discussion with the DLA and Duty Coxswain it was decided that the ILB should also be launched.

The ALB was launched.
Upon arrival on scene, the casualty vessel and local fishing vessel in attendance were located alongside each other. Crew were transferred to the vessels, and took over CPR on the casualty. The casualty was then transferred by stretcher onto the ALB where CPR was resumed.
The ALB then departed the scene with the casualty for Heli ops. The Helicopter medic was taken onboard, and instruction was given to make best speed back to Weymouth with the casualty.

The ALB was brought back into berth where the awaiting ambulance crew took over care of the casualty onboard.
