ILB launched to a Pan Pan call from a 6 metre RIB with 2 persons onboard aground on the beach at Middle Bottom, White Nose.
The RIB had landed on the beach to undertake a beach clean and had grounded on a flat ledge.
As the ILB arrived the RIB had managed to float free on the rising tide, however the passenger from the casualty was still on the beach.
Once it was ascertained the casualty vessel was not damaged, the ILB closed the beach to recover the passenger.
This was accomplished, and the passenger was reunited with the casualty vessel.
With no further problems the ILB escorted the RIB back to the entrance to Portland harbour and was then released to return to station.
