ILB launched at the request of the NMOC to a report of an injured man on a large cabin cruiser moored in Weymouth Harbour.
The ambulance had responded and found the gentleman with a head injury on a vessel moored 3 boats out from the pontoon. They had requested that Wyke Coastguards attend, who in turn requested the ILB to assist with the evacuation of the casualty to hospital.
The ILB launched & located the vessel opposite the Lifeboat station. The casualty was on-board a vessel with another vessel outboard.
The ILB positioned its self in-between 2 trots of cabin cruisers, with the bow of the ILB alongside the casualty vessel.
The injured male, a relation & 2 ambulances personal were assisted on to the ILB, & transported to the pontoon at the ‘Ferry Steps’, where all were landed to board the ambulance for transport to hospital.
The ILB was released to return to station, refuelled & made ready for service.
