Weymouth RNLI Inshore lifeboat was launched at 6.11pm on Friday 9th August to reports of 2 foil boarders in trouble at the Northern entrance to Portland Harbour.
On scene at 6.28pm the volunteer crew started a search.
With the weather deteriorating, the all-weather lifeboat was tasked to join in and extend the search.
Further information was later received that the foil boarders had made Overcombe safely.
Both lifeboats were stood down and returned to station, refuelled and made ready for the next shout.
The RNLI would always recommend you inform the Coastguards before you start a planned outing like this, so as if a members of the public reports sighting someone, the Coastguards are aware of any planned activities
