Former Weymouth RNLI lifeboat station branch chairman passes away.

Rob held the post of Branch Chair for nearly 5 years after taking up the role when he moved to Weymouth from Lyme Regis. At Lyme Regis he was the Chair of the fund raising committee for 10 years, which runs Lyme Regis lifeboat week and is a huge fund raiser for the RNLI. Rob was awarded a bronze medal by the RNLI for his hard work.
He will be sadly missed by all at the station who knew him.
Weymouth lifeboat station Lifeboats Operations Manager Nicki Ayling said; ‘He was a lovely man who will be dearly missed. Clearly dedicated to his voluntary works with the RNLI. He contributed a great deal to Weymouth and Lyme Regis lifeboat stations.’
