The money has been raised by the staff and customers of the local Weymouth branch of M&S by a variety of events from selling cakes, having raffles, collection buckets, bag backing and even a bikeathon in the store window display area.
Weymouth lifeboat station fund raiser Teresa Drage has worked closely with the staff of M&S over the last year and is full of praise for all the effort that the staff have given to raising funds for the charity which is dedicated to saving life at sea. She said “I would just like to say how wonderful it was working alongside the M&S staff, I really did enjoy it but most of all a big thank you must go to Hazel Coleman and James Mildenstein, who organised the Raffle, Bake Off, Bikeathon, and all the events throughout the store”.
